CC DART Volunteers Set Up an Animal Shelter, as ​near the Red Cross Shelter as Possible, for People to ​Evacuate Their Pets

The CC DART is a well-trained and well-equipped mobilized strike ​team made up of volunteers from the Northeast TN Medical Reserve ​Corps Unit # 1340. They come to the aid of livestock farmers and pet ​owners during a natural disaster or manmade emergency. CC DART ​members help their community by moving effected pets and ​livestock to areas, that have not been impacted, for their safety, ​feeding and shelter and to promote and protect the general welfare ​of the citizens of Carter County Tennessee, the Northeast Tennessee ​Region, and the State of Tennessee.
